Being HSE officer my work role include as;o Observe and implement company Health, Safety and Environment Policy Statement.o Ensure compliance with local and international safety standards (e.g. OSHA, ISO 45001, and GHS).o Identify potential hazards and evaluate risks on the construction site.o Develop mitigation strategies and recommend control measures.o Conduct on job safety training and ensure tool box talks are carried out and maintain record.o Coordination with safety manager, engineers, and site supervisors to integrate safety into project planning.o Communicate effectively with workers regarding safety expectations and requirements.o Conducts risk assessments and develops strategies for facilitating workers.o Improve the unsafe act/conditions and Near misses reporting and participating in investigations.o Ensure availability and proper use of PPE.o Promote awareness of safety protocols and encourage proactive safety practices.o Responsible for recording and reporting of all incidents including workers injuries etc.o Inspection of portable fire extinguisher, safety eye-wash / shower station and keeping their maintenance records.o Ensure availability of first aid measures & equipment’s working locations.o Monitor the validity of certification of equipment and operator license.o Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, safety audits, incidents, corrective actions and training programs.o Ensure all safety-related documentation is up-to-date and accessible.o Preparation of risk assessments and report writing.

o Monitor the safety performance of all workers to ensure that all workers on the site work safely.o Responder and investigator of safety incidents and mishaps.o Working with plant operations and maintenance employees to promote permit to work system and ensure safety of everyone involved in the processes.o Maintaining proper records, ensuring that equipment is installed & operated correctly and safely.o Making regular plant inspections and preparing reports.o Carrying out risk assessments, safety inspections & plant safety inductions.o Managing and organizing the safe disposal of hazardous substances.o Conduct regular inspections to identify fire hazards, particularly risks associated with cotton storage, handling, and processing.o Implement and enforce measures to minimize fire risks, including proper storage, ventilation, and housekeeping practices.o Ensure all fire detection and suppression systems, such as smoke detectors, fire alarms, fire extinguisher and sprinklers are fully operational.o Develop and maintain fire evacuation plans and ensure they are visibly displayed across the facilityo Provide training to employees on fire prevention, proper use of fire extinguishers, and emergency evacuation procedures.
