Led AkzoNobel Paint Greenfield & Relocation Project as project engineering manager (total cost of project is €26M), project planning in close coordination with EPC contractor and Operations team specially the relocation part in terms of timing, product supply, new equipment commissioning and existing equipment relocation.Project Planning:• Managed supply chain/import of new equipment despite challenging economic conditions in the country • Reviewed electrical design of all systems (HV power, MV power, equipment specifications as well as low voltage systems including CCTV, Ethernet Networks, lighting, ensuing compliance to AkzoNobel’s engineering standards as well as implementation to engineering best practices in explosive environments.• Reviewed and approved all designs of EPC contractors.• Development and review of RFQs in line with project specifications and equipment ordering.Project Execution:• Ensured timely approval from all local regulations involved in the project including FaisalabadIndustrial Estate, electrical inspectorate, EPA, etc.• Implementation of an approved project plan in the most economical and safe manner. Value addition in several systems where existing material, equipment was utilized resulting in cost savings.• Inspected EPC contractors’ temporary facilities from a safety point of view.• Designed and implemented a robust quality control system on site ensuing project specifications are met or exceeded.
