Director Operations & Regulatory AffairsWorldcall Telecom Limited, a subsidiary of Omantel, listed on Karachi and Lahore Stock Exchanges, offers an array of services under three major service categories i.e. Data, Entertainment and Voice.• Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of the Company• Primary function - to provide operational and strategic guidelines in line with the company policy and objectives to operational and business functions including Business Development of Wholesale telecom Services, Procurement, Interconnect, Regulatory, Legal, Administration & Security departments of the Company• Keep the Management informed about business activities, potential opportunities and business threats, opportunities, and recommend actions. • Execution of business decisions made in management meetings and ensures proper follow-up.• Liaison with the Regulatory Authority for regulatory affairs of the Company

Director Interconnect & Regulatory Affairs• Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of the Company• Responsible for operations of Interconnect and Regulatory departments• Responsible for management of international wholesale services portfolio of USD 3.5 million per month• Business development of international operations in mainland Europe by targeting wholesale and retail networks directly. Currently our customers include calling card operators based in Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Greece and the UK• Preparation and presentation of business proposals to prospective customers• Initiating dialogues and finalizing interconnect agreements with Tier-1 and Tier-2 international telecom operators• Heading a team of account managers to manage 60+ international interconnects of the Company with global carriers like British Telecom, T-Systems, Verizon Deutschland & Spain, Saudi Telecom, Reliance, TATA, TeliaSonera, Telecom Italia and Telenor• Management of local interconnects with cellular, LDI and LL operators• Optimization and Network dimensioning of Long Distance & International (LDI) network for interconnection – LDI provides backbone services to the Company’s retail CDMA Wireless Local Loop (WLL) and International wholesale telecom networks• Representing the Company in various local and international telecom forums/ conferences• Liaison with the Regulator Authority for regulatory affairs of the Company

General Manager (Operations)• Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer• Primary function – directly responsible to provide operational and strategic guidelines in line with the company policy and objectives to all departments overseen by the Chief Operating Officer, which included Business Development of Wholesale telecom Services, Interconnect, Regulatory, Legal, Administration & Security departments of the Company• Preparation and Finalizing annual operational budgets of the Company• Preparation and presentation of operational reports to the Company Management• Preparation and presentation of business proposals to prospective customers• Initiating dialogues and finalizing interconnect agreements with local and international telecom operators• Optimization and Network dimensioning of LDI network for interconnection• Liaison with the Telecom Regulator Authority for regulatory affairs of the Company

General Manager (Technical Liaison)• Reporting to Group Director Technical• Infrastructure Planning for the network rollout/expansion of CDMA-Wireless Local Loop (WLL) and Long Distance & International (LDI) businesses• Co-ordination with LDI/WLL operations teams for network optimization and interconnects with other operators• Initiating dialogues and finalizing interconnect agreements with cellular, LDI and LL operators• Network dimensioning of LDI network for interconnection• Liaison with Service Providers for infrastructure leasing

Sr. Manager Technical• Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer• Managing nation-wide payphone technical activities • Managing a field force of over 150 service engineers, providing technical assistance to 35 regional offices operating more than 35,000 payphones• Payphone related Software concerns – Coordination & follow-up on issues relating to NMS & Payphone Software and their implementation in the field• Tariff Management – Tariff fabrication & defining verification procedures• Evaluating technical standards for the company – Preparation of SOPs• Close coordination with vendors on behalf of Operational Management• Billing Data Analysis• Lab/field Testing of various types of payphones

Manager Technical Operations• Responsible for Payphone operations in NTR-I & II• Successfully carried out activities to fulfill the major task that was to further increase our operations and to effectively penetrate into the remote unexplored areas, as far as the payphone operation was concerned. This included visiting new stations to gather first hand information and to forecast the future growth. PTCL installations were visited to make technical feasibilities and carry out all the necessary testing beforehand• The operations were extended to more than 50 new stations in a short span of 18 months.

Asst. Manager Technical• Responsible for all technical activities in NTR-I• Installation of Line Protection Unit (LPU) in Digital Telephone Exchanges• Installation of the Network Management System (NMS) and day-to-day operations through the NMS

Junior Engineer Development• Development of a prototype design model into a production model. This included working on PCAD Engineering Design software to design and simulate PCB’s. Development task also covered generation of complete production level documentation
