Umer is a Geotechnical/ Tunnel Engineer and brings 14 years of technical and practical experience in construction management of mega projects including Dams/Hydropower, Railway and Waterway Tunnels (TBM and NATM), Vertical Shaft Excavation, Ground retention structures, Rock and Soil Slope Excavation & Stabilization, Earthworks, Temporary and logistics facilities. He possesses strong geotechnical background with core experience in planning and execution of onshore and offshore geotechnical investigation, testing and assessment, ground improvement techniques, borehole logging, geotechnical interpretative report writing and engineering recommendations for a wide variety of civil engineering projects.Umer has successfully ensured the implementation of IFC drawings, project specifications, QA/QC Plan, HSE rules and regulations during the construction of heavy civil projects. He has managed and coordinates daily/weekly site meetings between the client/contractor/stakeholders to ensure that all parties work in unison. Umer holds a bachelor degree in Engineering Geology, which he completed in 2011. He is currently Stantec Geotechnical Engineer for Dubai and managing DS432- Connecting storm water drainage pumping stations DB31 and DB32 through Micro Tunneling and DS411-1 Deep Tunnel Storm Water System- Seawater outfall extension projects.
