Major responsibilities of this department is to develop, manage and oversee operational policies and procedures, processes reengineering (BPR), pre-implementation review of new/ changed processes, products & systems, and extend operational support for implementation of various bank’s strategy initiatives. Following are key highlights of this role:- Designing the operational processes to enhance the operational efficiency and effectiveness while strengthening the control environment of the Bank.- Operationalization of regulatory directives in shape of processes, procedures, manuals, circulars.- Ensuring the update of ‘Branch Operations Manual’ which defines rules for branches/ back offices.- Reviewing of processes and systems to strengthen the control environment in context of COSO framework which includes identifying design weaknesses/ deficiencies, suggesting mitigating controls to bring the operational excellence. - Process improvement advisory services to foreign jurisdictions of the Bank/ overseas operations to strengthen their control environment.- Designing the customized/ targeted oriented training or presentations.- Handling and execution of special projects/ assignments while ensuring smooth transition and implementation through cross functional teams.

In this role my responsibilities were:- Operationalization of regulatory directives and continuous manage the updates of Branch Operations Manual.- Review of processes/ systems to identify the room for improvement and automation.

In this role my responsibilities were:- Documenting and maintaining the Bank wide business processes flows, Risk Register (Risk Control Matrices-RCM) and performing gap analysis using Entrepreneur Risk Management (ERM) technique i.e. COSO - Internal Control framework.- Reviewing the business policies, processes, procedures and operational guidelines with respect to risk and control mechanism.

The controls testing were performed on different segments of branch to ascertain the effectiveness of Internal Control System. This included the preparation of review plan, selection of appropriate review samples, performance of testing and report preparation.
