I am working as a Senior Research Fellow at UNSW Sydney. My research focuses on investigating the activity and mechanism of action of newly designed antimicrobials, including antimicrobial peptides and peptidomimetics and natural products (plant extracts), which target a variety of microbes such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses. I am particularly interested in how these antimicrobials can prevent microbes from colonizing surfaces. My research has significant applications in preventing disease transmission and reducing the incidence of hospital-acquired infections.
