    In 2019, Lucky Cement decided to revamp our Corporate Sales department, renaming it to Key Accounts. I was promoted to the position of Assistant Manager in this new role.Our departmental objectives were thus refocused to emphasize repeat customers and business development. As an Assistant Manager, I was now responsible for helping to mange and expand the sales network across the entire North Zone (Punjab, KPK, Baluchistan). My personal initiative in this new position is to hunt for new partners and business prospects, with specific attention paid towards Business-to-Business (B2B) interactions with private institutions. During my first year as Assistant Manager, I personally inducted eighteen clients into our department's roster. Additionally, our team has been able to break our departmental record for year-on-year sales growth for the past three years consecutively.Due to my efforts in bringing Key Accounts to the forefront, I was also presented with an award of Excellence by the Executive Director of Lucky Cement on 23 September 2020.

    On the basis of my performance during my first two years at Lucky Cement, I was promoted to the Corporate Sales department as a Senior Officer. In this new role, I was faced with a totally unique environment. The Corporate Sales team is responsible for business dealings with major organizations in both the civil/military and private sectors.     After clearing the entrance test and a subsequent two rounds of interviews, I was offered the position of Marketing Officer in Commercial Sales.During my first year at Lucky Cement, I received extensive training in area-wise and distributor-level sales operations. I was taught the complete company process from cement manufacturing to logistics and finances.At the time of my joining, our team's monthly average of volume sold was approximately 10,000 metric tons. However, through our efforts we were able to grow figure this by over 100% over the next two financial years to an average 20,000 metric tons per month. My role in this success was through induction of new dealers into the department's ecosystem, thus supplementing our network.I was also assigned my own sectors for daily tours and visits. Through this work in the field I was able to closely monitor changes in the retail market on a day-to-day basis. I would then produce reports for my Head of Department (HOD) using this information so that we could coordinate and develop both short-term and long-term marketing strategies.
