Developed a product (CashMachine) which aimed at providing support to e-commerce business owners to advertise on multiple online advertising platforms.Developed a generic/dynamic google service layer of which the google analytics service was widely used within the company.

Worked on-site providing software development and consultancy services to the company’s clients.

Developed a Product Control Risk management system (GPLS: Global Profit and Loss System). The system is predominantly based on the third party Java-based vendor software called ION ARC (previously known as Yolus). The system is fragmented having different instances hosted on many UNIX servers based on the entity and business line, with individual instances being able to handle very high volumes of trades in memory. Worked on standardizing and upgrading the different instances of the system making them share the same code-base hence share similar functionality and business logic while retaining all business-specific elements. This work involved a high degree of automated testing in order to verify that standardizing doesn’t cause any breaks in the functioning of the system. Worked on a Spring-MVC based web project (Adjustment service) which used Hibernate for the persistence tier.Assumed the role of 3rd Line Support, handling any escalations from the 1st/2nd Line support teams. Assisted the support teams during new code deployment and resolving any emergency production issues that arose.Managed the technical development side of a project involving the introduction of a new product-line (FX Options) into an existing live production system. This was done without affecting the daily operation of the system and without affecting the existing business logic. Made use of Pentaho Data Integration Suite (ETL tool) to provide solutions to complex problems. Received an internal HSBC award (Spot-On Award) for this project. Provided alternative solutions to problems through identifying the potential risks involved with drafted approaches.
