I am a Master of Public Health (MPH) graduate from the University of Guelph. My undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Public Health and Safety program from Toronto Metropolitan University. After completing many public health courses, I have a thorough understanding of many provincial Public Health legislations, Biostats, food safety principles, HACCP, infection control practices, population health assessment, and healthy public policy. I also have expertise in primary epidemiological research, infectious disease modelling, and synthesis research.Through my university education and practicum experience at the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), I gained the knowledge and skill to conduct systematic reviews, meta-analyses, umbrella reviews, scoping reviews, and network meta-analyses. I also have experience in conducting primary research involving human participants.I am proficient in using Microsoft applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. I can also import and create datasets, reports, and dashboards. I can perform descriptive and statistical analyses in software such as R and Stata. I currently work as a Health Promoter with the Hastings Prince Edward Public Health (HPEPH). Overall, my role is to conduct evidence-based research to provide qualitative synthesis and quantitative data related to the population of HPEPH for effective public health program delivery. I can adequately create ad-hoc reports, project manuscripts, data analytics, presentations, and any evidence-based publishable paper(s) required by the employer.Throughout my university education, I have been involved with many extracurricular activities demonstrating care for the community's overall well-being, youngsters, patients, and students. With such an educational background, employment experience, volunteer, and extracurricular involvement, it is evident that I have a passion and exceptional skill set that will be an asset to any professional work related to Public Health. My acquired skills include professionalism, teamwork, effective overall communication, conflict resolution, leadership, problem-solving, and excellent management.Lastly, I have received many awards, certifications, and acknowledgment letters throughout my undergraduate and graduate career that display my determination and commitment to Public Health.
