Working with Dr. Andrew Mason, conducting research on micro-scale sensor devices and embedded systems for real-time monitoring of biological particulate matter (PM) in indoor environments. My focus is on developing optical detection methods, particularly fluorescence-based techniques, to detect airborne PM. I am studying the fluorescence properties of biological materials (1μm to 50nm) and exploring commercial devices, such as Purple Air, along with laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) systems. This research contributes to the development of prototype systems for environmental, physiological, and behavioral monitoring, supporting future grant proposals in PM detection.

As an Honors Navigators Peer Mentor, I provide ongoing academic, social, and professional support to first-year and eligible second-year students in the Michigan State University Honors College. I help mentees navigate university life by connecting them with campus resources such as tutoring, help rooms, and study nights, and facilitate engagement with student organizations like the Academic Scholars Program Advisory Council (ASPAC), First-Generation Honors Association (FGHA), Honors Students of Color Coalition (HSOCC), and International Scholars Advisory Board (ISAB).Through this role, I contribute to community-building efforts, guide mentees in their transition to university, and help foster a sense of belonging and academic readiness. This mentorship continues to enhance my leadership and communication skills.
