I am currently employed as a Senior Planning and Contracts Engineer with Sinotec, a Chinese company (Main contractor). My responsibilities include managing 321 schools across 5 Governorates of Iraq - Nineveh, Anbar, Salah Deen, Diyala, and Kirkuk. In this role, I am responsible for dealing with all contractual and claims-related matters with the Employer, which includes handling issues such as extension of time, land acquisition, disruption of works by the local community, contract interpretations, environmental and social issues.I have prepared the baseline integrated project schedule using Primavera (P6), which covers Engineering, Procurement, and Construction works. I update this schedule on a monthly basis and provide presentations to the Employer to explain reasons for any delays and recovery plans to ensure timely completion of the project.Furthermore, I have prepared a comprehensive report for the Employer to approve an amendment to the payment schedule for cash neutrality. In addition to this, I also monitor the 51 subcontractors and their KPIs indicators on a weekly basis, communicating with them accordingly if necessary to expedite the pace of work at the site. I also provide contractual support to the site team regarding issues related to variations, unforeseen events, and force majeure events.
