My responsibilities include managing 321 schools across 5 Governorates of Iraq - Nineveh, Anbar, Salah Deen, Diyala, and Kirkuk. In this role, I am responsible for dealing with all contractual and claims-related matters with the Employer, which includes handling issues such as extension of time, land acquisition, disruption of works by the local community, contract interpretations, environmental and social issues.I have prepared the baseline integrated project schedule using Primavera (P6), which covers Engineering, Procurement, and Construction works. I update this schedule on a monthly basis and provide presentations to the Employer to explain reasons for any delays and recovery plans to ensure timely completion of the project.Furthermore, I have prepared a comprehensive report for the Employer to approve an amendment to the payment schedule for cash neutrality. In addition to this, I also monitor the 51 subcontractors and their KPIs indicators on a weekly basis, communicating with them accordingly if necessary to expedite the pace of work at the site. I also provide contractual support to the site team regarding issues related to variations, unforeseen events, and force majeure events.

For over a year, I have been working remotely with a US-based contractor located in Corona, gaining valuable experience in the civil engineering field. My primary role has been to perform take-offs of construction quantities for bidding purposes.Throughout this period, I have not only gained expertise in quantity take-offs but also in pricing bidding items. My client simply provides me with PDF drawings and specifies the deadline for the bid submission. I immediately dive into the project, following a structured process that I have developed to ensure successful outcomes.Firstly, I review all drawings, technical specifications, and contact documents, raising questions and clarifications with the client as needed. Secondly, I use Bluebeam to perform quantity take-offs and generate summaries. Thirdly, I liaise with local vendors, providing them with technical details of the item and the project, to obtain quotations for materials and services required. Finally, I upload all relevant documents on OneDrive for my client's consent and then proceed with submitting the bid.Having submitted over 70 bids and won almost 30 projects, I have acquired excellent communication skills, developed effective vendor selection strategies, and honed my ability to read and interpret technical drawings. This role also unable me to become proficient in negotiating both technical and commercial aspects with employers, ensuring that all aspects of the bid are well understood and delivered to the satisfaction of the client.

My responsibilities were:• Site inspection for Civil construction work & ensure that work is as per the project specification & final approved drawings from authorities.• Planning & Executing of Daily Site Activities.• Proper management of materials & workmanship.• Ensure that all the works meet the stipulated Quality Standards.• BOQ preparation for Civil works.• Ensure that all the works meet the standard OSHA guidelines • Issuance of Permit to Work (PTW) for all respective activities and ensure all the safety standards (as per OSHA guidelines) as stipulated in the contract documents.• Regular induction sessions prior to every new activity involved in the project.• Preparation of Method Statement for hot work keeping in view all the safety standards.• Submission of detailed HSE plan to Client.
