Colonel Muhammed Sever is a decorated Gendarmerie officer living in Tripoli, Libya. Having graduated from Turkish Military Academy, he commanded various gendarmerie units at team, company and battalion levels. In addition, he served in Turkish General Staff headquareters and NATO Centre of Excellence Defence Against Terrorism (COE-DAT) for six years. He served in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2006-2007 (EUFOR/Althea) and Afghanistan in 2014 (NATO/ISAF). He is currently deployed in the Turkish Embassy in Tripoli as Counsellor for Security Cooperation and Internal Affairs.Colonel Sever holds a MSc degree on Anthropolgy from Ankara University & PhD. degree on Sociology from Hacettepe University. His academic specialties are globalization, criminology & irregular migration in East Mediterranean and Turkey.His military awards include several medals and ribbons.Colonel Muhammed Sever is married and has two lovely daughters.
