Shape direction of research to execute ongoing projects in systems-of-systems engineering and discover new applications of this new field of study.Lead large multidisciplinary team of graduate students studying architecture design and evaluation for the Ballistic Missile Defense System for a system-of-systems perspective.

Develop risk analysis and propagation evaluation methodology to quantify the cascading effects of disruptions on the development of networks of interdependent systems. Create mathematical models of airline operations, aircraft acquisition, and traveler demand to be used as a test-bed for the evaluation of future aircraft technologies.
