Cyber Security Operator
CurrentDuring my term as a Police National Serviceman, I was shortlisted and appointed as a Cyber Security Operator as a National Service Vocation under HTX. Through this experience, I handle various tasks such as consumer security monitoring, recording and analysing security events, incident response, utilising the SIEM infrastructure, delivering ad-hoc reports, and compliance administration. In addition to the daily tasks as a Cyber Security Operator, I also took the initiative to hone my PowerShell scripting as well as the familiarisation and application of Robotic Process Automation so as to refine the efficacy of the systems that we operate.Through qualities that includes but not limited to active listening, empathy, observation, quick-thinking, and proactivity, I polished my communication skills to ensure that collaborations within and between my teams remain transparent, concise and efficient. I have also honed my customer service skills by picking up calls from multiple collaborators and stakeholders who harbour certain inquiries regarding their security incidents.Adept in responding swiftly and efficiently to security and risk management incidents, conducting digital forensics analysis, and engaging in collaborating with various teams, departments and stakeholders to ensure proper and accurate incident response as well as compliance implementation. Proficient in keeping up to the latest industry trends, in addition to developing and sustaining crucial project documentations.
