During my internship at Bilkent University Health Center, I dedicated my efforts to a pivotal project focused on optimizing the allocation of students to psychologists. Our mission was to enhance balance, elevate psychologist utilization rates, streamline the assignment process, and minimize changes in assignments from week to week.I contributed to the development of an optimization model as part of the project. This model ensured the allocation of students was not only balanced but also maximally utilized psychologists' expertise. Additionally, it significantly automated the assignment process, reducing manual efforts and enhancing overall efficiency while fulfilling the goal of minimizing assignment changes.To facilitate user interaction and implementation, I co-engineered a user-friendly interface. This interface empowered administrative users to effortlessly add new students, manage profiles, and execute the optimization model seamlessly. I implemented the interface using the Qt framework in Python. This experience enriched my understanding of optimization, software development, and practical application.
