Responsibilities: • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.• Provide support to the Finance Manager by producing error-free accounting reports and present their results.• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.• Well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.• Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers.• Manage accounts receivable and check invoices issued to customers.• Manage accounts payable for local and foreign supplier invoices in line with Company policies and procedures, and agreements with the respective suppliers.• Perform monthly reconciliation of Accounts.• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.• Support month-end and year-end close process.• Preparing payments on the requests of suppliers or purchasers.• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.• Recording of bank transactions related to payments.• Monthly bank reconciliation including resolution of any differences in a timely manner.• Ensure the efficient management of company’s bank accounts.• Take care of the cash management system of the company and their payment mechanism.• Input and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger bookings and analysis of movement of accounts.• Oversee Purchases and record other intercompany transactions. • Book accruals and other adjusting entries in coordination with Finance Manager.• Creation of Assets serial number, maintain & control all Assets serial code tracks.• Processing Assets inventories at the month end. • Assets write off entries. • Depreciation entries for all Assets by monthly basis. • Fixed assets reporting.Audit:• Assist in responding to applicable audit requests (Internal Audit, GAZT, and external auditors).VAT:• Prepare VAT input report and supporting document for monthly VAT return and GAZT verifications.• Check the Supplier is registered with GAZT through online portal.• Check if the invoice from the supplier/customer is with TIN number of both parties.• Provide GAZT related invoices when asked for any sampling.
