-Advocate for the most vulnerable group of kids who are DCF/ Court involved-Develop a Transition Age Youth Advocacy Program to serve court involved youths 16 to 21-Supervise 25-30 volunteer advocates-Support volunteer advocates in the completion of court-mandated duties, including, but not limited to, developing and submitting court reports and participating in court hearings and case meetings-Exercise discretion and independent judgment to assist advocates in creative problem solving, utilizing Agency and community resources and ensuring accuracy and consistency with dependency permanency planning law and best practices-Facilitate and mediate relationships between advocates and professionals, family members, and others as needed-Maintain monthly minimum contact with advocates, providing coaching and advice tailored to individual case and volunteer needs-Identify and share information about specialized services and resources with advocates and Boston CASA staff-Annually evaluate advocate performance in the fulfillment of their duties

- Coordinate education plans for clients. - Maintain partnerships with school systems and other related agencies - Attend Individual Education Meetings (IEP), as needed - Provide education trainings to staff as needed - Advocate for URM youth in education settings - Develop relationships with DDS, MRC, and other adult service providers to allow advocacy and timely referrals for their services. - Maintain a current knowledge base of the school disciplinary procedures and appeal process for students - Assist with school enrollment- Act as a resource for college applications, financial aid and deadlines

-Ensure safety, security, well-being, and growth of foster children from various countries and cultures resettled in Massachusetts-Prepare individualized service plans targeting different needs of the children-Conform to the standard set by DCF and report the state on progress and performance-Write custody and other court reports for under 18 clients-Advocate on behalf of all clients as their legal guardian-Help clients navigate legal, educational and social systems that influence their growth and success

Worked with the department and helped Professor Darren Kew in his academic works, mostly extensive research on assigned topics. Most research focused on civil society’s role to democracy, conflict resolution, and sustainable peace in developing and underdeveloped countries.

Facilitated 'parties in conflict' explore issues, helped parties generate new options and seek a common ground, helped them work together to resolve conflict. Sought mutually satisfactory and long lasting solutions using dispute resolution skills.
