Have worked in the Indian Police Service for more than 3o years. I have the privilege to study at two of the best education institutions of the world: MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India; and Master of Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, USA. During the study at Harvard, I obtained the Mason Fellowship from the Harvard University, and was recipient of prestigious “The Raymond & Josephine Vernon Book Award” and the “Litteaur Fellow Award” of Harvard UniversityHave authored a couple of books. My passion and studies in positive psychology has made me a very well-known trainer and coach of "Science of Happiness and Positivity".I have taken more than 200 workshops on Happiness and Positivity for audience ranging from corporate CEOs to Very senior government officials to high school students. All of us want to be happy, even if we don’t admit it openly or choose to cloak our desire in different words. Whether our dreams are about professional success, spiritual fulfilment, a sense of connection, a purpose in life, we covet those things because ultimately, we believe that they will make us happier. Yet few of us truly appreciate just how much we can improve our happiness or know precisely how to go about doing it.Psychological research has devoted considerable attention to understanding the nature of human happiness. Social psychologists have collected mountains of data, derived from actual human behaviour (rather than lay theories, intuitions, and armchair speculation), and this interactive workshop “Happiness and Positivity” takes a close look at the evidence these academics have found. Research suggests that up to 40 percent of happiness depends on our habits and day-to-day activities. The workshop explores the roots of a happy and meaningful life. Participants will engage with some of the most provocative and practical lessons from this science, discovering how to apply key insights from cutting-edge research to their own lives and workplaces to make their organizations more positive, happy, engaged and productive. They will learn about the cross-disciplinary research supporting this view, spanning the fields of psychology, neuroscience, evolutionary biology, and beyond.
