I am a guest faculty at the University of Calcutta and Sanskrit College And University, where I teach and mentor students in linguistics, a field that I have been passionate about for over three decades. I have a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Deccan College, Pune, where I specialized in languages of tribals, small as well as endangered language groups, demography and statistics.Before becoming a guest faculty, I worked as a research officer at the Language Division, Kolkata, a public sector organization that deals with language planning and development in India. I received the Census Silver Medal and Bronze Medal from the Government of India for my outstanding job performance and contribution to the national census. I am also a creative writer, and I enjoy expressing my thoughts and insights through various forms of literature.
