• Managing the Supplier Quality & Incoming Quality Operations at site. Leading team of 10 Engineers and Associates.• Managing 200+ suppliers based in Indian sub-continent, Europe and ANZ regions. • Performing Line containment, reworks, analysis of the defects and issue resolutions.• Taking proactive measures for defects control at suppliers, performing Process Audits and Implementing CAPA.• Implementing process improvement initiatives at supplier end for reduction in defects.• Performing Monthly Defect trend analysis, Supplier performance ratings, defining exit conditions for Red / Yellow suppliers. • Coordination between Engineering, Production and Process Quality Team for Quality issues observed.• On Hand experience with parts in critical application for Diesel and Electric Locomotives, Metro and Rolling stocks.• Defining the Green channel criteria for non-critical and catalogue parts, Preparing strategy for reduction in incoming inspections.• Leading the Zero-Defect program, RFT culture for Supplier performance improvements.• Conducting the repair loop analysis, Part Cost vs repair cost analysis.• Establishing test-bench for performing inspection of parts like AGATES, Pressure gages, Switches, Contactors and Relays.• Hands on experience in Mechanical and Electrical commodities viz. machined parts, fasteners, welded and riveted frames, Contactors, Relays, Inductors etc.

Implementing process of forging, Casting and heat treatment at supplier end.Developed bearings for wind energy application for customers like GE, Flender, ZF, NGC etc.Conducting audits at supplier publishing reports and closing the findings by implementing the corrective and preventive actions.Heading India Metallurgical Lab and assigning works to Lab associates, conducting metallurgical investigation samples receive from and customers.Generating monthly KPI reports and publishing to Global Team.Establishing corrective & preventive actions using quality tools like CED, 8D and Poka yoke for defect reduction.Implementing Continuous Improvement projects for cost saving and productivity improvement.

Supplier selection , RFQ placement, Coordination within India purchasing buyers/ commodity leads/, Price finalization, confirmation about availability of parts , scheduling and timely procurementManaged key projects of localization of diesel engine, mining and railroad components from India and Indonesia.Conducting quality and SRG audits ensuring the product and regulatory compliance are met. Localization of Diesel engine forged components like cam shafts, connecting rods and articulating rods. Developed exhaust components for emission reduction with suppliers in India and Indonesia. Involving critical processes like investment casting, machining and GTAW.

Handled Greenfield project of new Forge & Heat Treatment shop with installation and commissioning of Forging press, Heating furnaces and Metallurgical lab.Responsible for product quality for products with application in Power, O&G and industrial application.
