With an MBA in Strategy & Leadership and Finance from the Indian School of Business, a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, and a minor in Finance from BITS Pilani, I have a strong academic background and a diverse perspective on the private equity sector.My current role involves screening and evaluating firms and preparing an investment thesis, meeting Founders and understanding their vision, and eventually closing a deal with them. I dabble across multiple disciplines in this entire process, ranging from research, to finance, legal and strategy. Previously, I worked as a Software Engineer at Microsoft, where I was part of the core feature crew that developed the "Create Outline" experience in PowerPoint and Office Mobile Apps, which has more than 2 million monthly active users. I also led the UI refresh initiative of the default slide consumption experience in the PowerPoint mobile app, and singlehandedly enhanced the record audio feature quality. Additionally, I improved the file open performance and reliability of the PowerPoint Mobile app as part of the File Open Performance and Reliability crew. I have also gained valuable experience in software engineering from my internships at OYO and Optum, where I developed the anonymous login experience and the internally used Authentication Service respectively. I am fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali, and enjoy learning new languages and cultures. I aspire to contribute towards innovative solutions in the private equity field, by leveraging my expertise in software engineering and finance.
