• Review the customer specifications in detail to design systems (Mechanical & Electrical) requirements. • Size and part design of pneumatic and hydraulic systems (Reservoir, Pump, Pressure control valve, Heat Exchanger, Accumulator, Lube oil filter, Seal gas heater, Seal gas filter) to support turbo machinery (Expander, Compressor). • Size the control valves based on process requirement. • Perform systems and structural calculations. • Develop detail BOM (bill of material) to meet systems requirements. • Provide detail P&ID with required instrumentation to have safe and continuous operation. • Attend design review meetings with peers, vendors and customers. • Oversee testing of systems prior to shipment. • Knowledge of API 617, API 614 and IEC/NEC standards those are applicable to engineering function.• Develop the knowledge of components available in the market place that could be used in turbo expander support systems.• Learn the systems component specification process.• Understand fabrication shop practices and learn to communicate with fabrication shop personnel.• Communicate with drafting, read and interact with 3-D models and 2-D drawings.• Interact with customers and supplies in meetings or by phone to provide accurate technical answers.• Maintain up to date documentation on all responsible projects.• Assist shop in issues related to manufacture of turbo Expander systems. • Learn and follow all applicable company procedures and work instructions.• Focus on both electrical and mechanical side of systems engineering.• Write up start up and maintenance procedure.
