As a captain for Talon Air, Mukund ensures that each flight is operated safely and in compliance with all company procedures and regulations. He involves his team of inflight and operations personnel in decision making processes and ensures that each customer has a comfortable on-board experience. Prior to conducting each flight, Mukund actively reviews the flight plan and confirms ground service providers will be in place to meet the aircraft upon arrival.➢ Transport aircraft owners, guests, and VIPs to worldwide destinations under FAR Parts 91 and 135.➢ Lead crew briefings, check weather/NOTAMS, verify flight release information, and coordinate with international handlers.➢ Conduct specialized training for operations into Aspen, CO. Emphasis on aircraft performance and terrain awareness.➢ Utilize Heads Up Display (HUD), Synthetic Vision, and Enhanced Vision System (EVS) during low visibility operations.

As the lead captain for Galaxy Aero, Mukund conducted flights to worldwide destinations on behalf of VIPs and their guests. He was heavily involved in the international flight planning process and commonly communicated with handlers and transportation services to ensure his passengers were properly cared for once on the ground. Outside of the cockpit, Mukund led several projects to include the development of an improved Safety Management System (SMS) complete with a Flight Risk Assessment Tool (FRAT). Additionally, he applied for and received an FAA Letter of Authorization (LOA) for operations in Reduced Vertical Separation Minimums (RVSM) airspace.➢ Transported aircraft owners throughout Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East under FAR Part 91. ➢ Extensive specialized airport operations training/experience to Kathmandu Airport, Nepal; Paro Airport, Bhutan; and various destinations in China. ➢ Evaluated new-hire crewmember resumes, conducted interviews, and completed various human resources/administrative tasks.➢ Led company indoctrination training for 30+ individuals, scheduled simulator/safety training, and maintained training records.➢ Negotiated contracts with flight planning/maintenance/cleaning/handling vendors and managed the operational budget.➢ Ensured company compliance with applicable regulations and established procedures to earn IS-BAO Stage III certification.➢ Liaised with the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) center for aircraft scheduling, anticipated downtimes, and costs.➢ Handled administrative tasks to include aircraft insurance policies, registration, Minimum Equipment Lists (MEL), and pilot licensing transfers.
