My work at Hitching Post Farm is seasonal. I work there during the summer months and over winter break. I am responsible for the care of the horses including, feeding of the horses, turnout, blanketing, and cleaning of stalls. I also exercise horses of varying levels of experience and help with the progression of their training. Hitching Post Farm is a training and competition barn. Each year Hitching Post Farm puts on six three-day eventing competitions. During those events, I am responsible for designing the cross-country course.

While I am at school at Colorado State University I complete my work for North Hartland Tool Corporation on-line. I have experience with counting inventory and inputting it into the system, inputting purchase orders and quotations into the system, entering jobs into the system, and employee time cards. I also have experience organizing employee records.

While working at Coffin Sporthorse Training I care for the horses by way of feeding both morning and evening, turning them out, cleaning stalls, and tacking them up to be ridden. I also ride client horses to keep them fit for competition.

I am currently a junior at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. I am on track to graduate in December 2014. I am majoring in both Equine Science and Agricultural Business. As an Equine Science major I have taken many equine related courses such as, Equine Reproduction, Equine Nutrition, and the Horse Training and Sale Preparation course. I am also currently a Teaching Assistant for the Horse Training and Sale Preparation course. As part of my Agricultural Business degree I have taken many business related courses, including Agricultural Marketing, Introduction to Finance, and Enterprise Analysis.

I was responsible for much of the care of the horses. This included feeding both morning and evening, turning horses out, blanketing, grooming, and tacking horses up to be ridden. I also was responsible for exercising horses of varying experience, such as starting young horses, exercising show horses, and helping with training of clients horses.
