Al Jazeera Media Network, is an amazing working experience that I was offered in 2013. I was dropped in the deep end but flourished, I have learnt so much from starting in the print department and dealing with external and internal campaigns to then being transfered to digital where I had to grasp the work flow fast, I then grew my experience in website design (responsive) (UX and UI), app design, social media marketing design and web banners. Then I was put across all digital products in the Network as well as being exposed to on -air work; i.e. storyboarding for promos and title sequences, directing these and then editing them. They also brought me into interior design with regards to designing sets for programmes which was a lot of fun. I still work for them currently it has almost been for 5 years.

This was a dream job, I got to manage my own projects, art direct on packaging and point of sale, I had to come up with my own marketing strategies and manage social media as well as develop sites for this company. I got exposed to many different forms of printing here and the environment was amazing. I had to leave this job in 2012 as my husband had to relocate for his job, this meant immigrating to Qatar.I freelanced in Qatar for a year still for this company until they found someone to full my position there.

This company was amazing to work for, and where I was taught so much in digital UX and UI, marketing strategy and social media. I also learnt how to animate banners in Photoshop and after effects and I was taught to create and edit videos in after effects. There was a real creative and team spirit that was present all the time in this office which made us all flourish. I got to art direct and conceptualize on a daily basis, manage projects on my own and deal with clients directly that briefed us in. I worked for this company for just over a year, and moved to another company as I was head hunted and could not refuse the offer that they gave me. However my boss in this company encouraged me to go and grow my career.

Serendipity was a new start up company specializing in print items and events. I specialized in managing designers, working in teams, art direction and branding new products. I had a chance to direct a few photography shoots that were used in packaging and other Point of Sale items. I also got my first exposure to website designing. Because this company was a new company it did not preform as the owners wanted it to and therefore it closed down in 2010.

This is where I started my career and working for a below the line advertising agency. Packaging and Point of Sale was what I designed for it was the bulk of the work load. I learned to work in teams and conceptualize from a brief given and rolling out an idea right through from concept to print on all elements. I developed skills such as print and getting files ready for the printers, a bit of art direction and grew stronger in the programmes I worked with. I worked for this company for 5 Years but unfortunately the company closed down in 2009.
