Bioregional Weaving Labs (BWL) is a growing assembly of 25+ international system-changing organisations.  We are closely collaborating to ensure that high-level climate and biodiversity plans become more actionable. By weaving our expertise, knowledge, resources, and teams together, we offer maximum support to change leaders, citizens’ initiatives and their communities that want to protect, restore, and regenerate the landscapes and seascapes they live and work in. We aim to mobilise and support 1 million changemakers who will together contribute to protecting, restoring and regenerating 1 million hectares of land and sea in Europe. They will engage in scaling Nature-based Solutions (NBS) that will bring a significant and observable impact on 4 returns (natural, social, financial, inspiration) in 10 bioregional landscapes across Europe by 2030.

At Ashoka The Netherlands I am co-director, developing and implementing business strategies, plans and procedures and co-leading the team. Ashoka supports social entrepreneurs worldwide to build their capacity and aims to equip everyone to be successful change makers who jointly can have maximal impact. We develop high quality programs and events that connect & mobilise relevant stakeholders around systematic change for the greater good.

I am co-founder of Braenworks Academy, a learning platform for creators to grow on a personal level and to grow their creative business. We facilitate them through uniquely designed training programs, coaching, workshops and e-learning so they can discover how they can keep working from their inner creative core whilst adding value for others and making a positive impact on society. We offer corporate and government organisations possibilities to collaborate with these artists, musicians, producers, dancers, designers, writers, filmmakers, photographers, designers and other creative professionals to co-create innovative solutions for a changing world. This initiative is now incorporated in the Cre8tiveRevolution Group.

I worked for several clients like Ekoplaza and Diabetes Fonds as a marketing strategy & content marketeer. I was assigned to special projects with a focus on producing educational content and creating awareness raising campaigns. My strength lies in operating both on a strategic and operational level. I have creative ideas and I get things done.

The Good Family was born as an idea over a cup of coffee. It was set up as a learning platform for like minded parents who are looking for inspiration and concrete ideas for a conscious lifestyle. We published family portraits, blogs and articles, and together with a variety of partners we have organised multiple projects and events. We shared life lessons that we never learned in classrooms and aim to teach our children at an early age about things like the value of creativity, the power of giving and the benefits of yoga and mindfulness (learning for wellbeing).

For Theatre Embassy I conducted a research on cultural entrepreneurship in developing countries, resulting in the publication of a book (‘Behind the scenes’ by KIT Publishers). For Young in Prison I managed the annual fundraising event ‘Yip Art’ resulting in 80 photographers auctioning their work with a +100k euros in total revenue. For Dutch Picture Industries I did research on several documentary projects and secured production funds. I am an expert in fundraising and love to work for organisations with a social purpose.

For the international NGO Music Mayday, I led an international team of fundraisers and program managers in The Netherlands and partner organisations in Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda and South Africa in setting up programs for cultural development and job creation. Hundreds of young talents were educated in music, dance, theatre and film and creative entrepreneurship. We produced international music festivals, awareness raising campaigns and cultural exchange projects. By creating these learning experiences we significantly contributed to urban youth development in fast growing African cities. This life-changing period broadened my view on the world and showed me the power of vocational training and cultural entrepreneurship.

After studying Arts and Culture, a fellow student and I opened an art gallery in Rotterdam. We offered a platform to young emerging visual artists to connect with private and corporate collectors. We did art consultancy for corporates and we developed and organised the Young Art Award, a sponsored annual prize for young talent. For our fresh approach we won an innovation award sponsored by ABN AMRO. Being a creative entrepreneur brought me many new insights, on how corporations work an think and it especially ignited my love for supporting creative ‘changemakers’.
