My career has been a rewarding, challenging and stimulating journey. It has encompassed all phases of communications, including strategic planning and integrated program development on a domestic as well as global basis. My expertise is uncovering distinct and effective brand and corporate positionings that lead to effective strategic and creative solutions to increase revenue and build customer loyalty.I started in the early days of “integrated marketing” and have been a driver with every aspect of the evolving communications landscape, right up to today’s work with data analytics, AI and omnichannel communications. I held significant roles (from Account Executive to CEO) at Medicus/DMB&B, Warwick Baker O’Neill, J Walter Thompson, Ogilvy Healthcare, and Chameleon Group/HCG. My experience is with a broad set of categories, including food, fashion, technology, package goods, OTCs, and pharmaceuticals, across all classes of trade. I helped build brands with Procter & Gamble, American Express, Unilever, Panasonic, Lexmark, Bausch and Lomb and even Fruit of the Loom. In healthcare, I partnered with all of the Top 20 pharmaceutical companies including J&J, Pfizer, Bayer, Eli Lilly and Novartis across all elements of the communications continuum. I’ve had tremendous mentors and partners that advanced and cultivated my skills in insight mining, business and creative strategic planning, messaging and content development. I take great pride in my ability to frame and deliver interesting, relevant and persuasive communications. I believe it is critical to know the “why” people do what they do, not simply the “what”. Thank you, Lou, John, Mike, Carol, Kevin, Steve, Angie, Gary, Eamon, Matt, Brian and so many others for all of your support along the way.Beyond strategic planning and content development, I have had considerable success building communication agencies, both large and small. My primary approach has always been the same -- “Success comes from developing your talent, focus on the people and the teams”.So, what’s next? I’m turning the clock back some 15 years to return to Big Arrow as a Senior Partner. Big Arrow is an independent, full-service agency that specializes in healthcare, hospital systems and rare disease. I'll be working with old friends and doing the things I love to do, tell important stories and helping people live better lives. Drop me a line if you get a chance.
