I am passionate about building great consumer experiences. I am an end-to-end product thinker with a primary strength in hardware engineering. Even though hardware engineering is my background, I do not shy away from the many disciplines required to build a truly great experience. At Motorola and Apple I primarily focused on hardware design. At Apple is when I first understood my true passion for building the end-to-end experience. Taking the great things I learned at Apple I decided to leave the mobile space and try out the connected home space. Nest was a wonderful all around experience which allowed me to manage many new disciplines (such as embedded software). In doing so I realized that there is no single discipline that matters more than others. In order to lead a company to build great consumer experiences one must be able to have empathy towards all disciplines. One must motivate and drive the balance and tension between the disciplines to create the best product for the consumer.
