I joined SUSE in July 2020 mid-pandemic. I acted as Chief of Staff to the Chief Customer Officer and then to the Chief Revenue Officer (who replaced him). SUSE was in a period of aggressive growth, organic and inorganic, during a time of worldwide pandemonium. My remit at SUSE was to help drive the growth goal: to become a billion dollar company in three years, we achieved this and more and I was part of the leadership team that led SUSE to the largest tech IPO in Europe in 2021. My work included:- Rancher acquisition: part of leadership team working on due diligence and transition planning; set up tiger team- IPO: worked with Bain and BCG through the due diligence phase and transition to publicly listed company: people and process - Revenue transformation programmes and projects: designed and delivered (often from ‘blank sheet of paper’) programmes and projects in support of twice renewed GTM initiatives, embed in sales org e.g. financial, process, customer and organisational capacity- Transition planning for planned change and future acquisitions- Owned the target operating model and interlock with other functions- Friction Reduction (Velocity) - directed short punchy operational excellence sprint projects to address issues that were impeding progress - Performance Orchestration (Velocity) - lead daily stand ups to review performance, identify must-do activities, collaborate and drive the business- stakeholder management and engagement (internal and external)- designed and oversaw the executive customer engagement strategy - Built engagement with the open source community- Completed leadership for growth (Growth Mindset and Coaching) executive training

Initially hired to develop policy in support of digital education. Covid19 hit and suddenly all of the policy work was moot, it became a boots on the ground exercise. We imagined digital education and then had to deliver it immediately.

The NHS had a big remit from government to become far more digital and to realise efficiencies that way. There were lots of ideas and pockets of brilliance, but it needed to be brought together and a plan created.I worked with the product and strategy leadership teams to create a single view of the digital landscape, including timeline and dependencies. Set up and ran agile meetings to ensure collaboration and communication was constant. Worked with the senior leadership team to drive resilience through culture, management and communications

HMCTS is in the middle of transforming the courts and tribunal service, a transition programme due to complete by 2022. The Digital Change Directorate enables access to swift and certain justice by designing, building, sourcing and sustaining digital services for citizens and professionals with all levels of technical ability. It will enable all users to to successfully navigate the challenges of national scale, changing legislation, quickly evolving requirements and competing business demands, alongside accelerating technology change and market innovation.I worked with the DCD Senior Management and other stakeholders as required. Building on the work already done to determine the future vision help to implement and drive the change.Specifically:• Develop a 2022 Vision for the Digital Directorate in HMCTS and ensure senior stakeholder engagement and support• Disseminate the 2022 vision and strategy• Develop an implementation programme - to include a live service model• Communicate implementation plans with senior stakeholders and develop capability requirements• Start the implementation

My role was to help define and deliver the strategy for the open platform and assist with the digital first agenda: from strategy through to operational delivery. I managed activities and events in support of the change programme and managed engagement with the vocal and disparate community of people who were integral to the successful delivery of the open platform and digital first programme, but who were external to the organisation.
