Lead the design and establishment of experimental techniques for reactor scale-up. Develop mathematical models of fermentation reactor systems with coupled hydrodynamics, mass transfer and reaction kinetics, to increase process intensification and system optimization.Establish advanced fermentation process control and optimization strategy.Research innovative reactor concepts for gas-liquid fermentation.Lead the construction of lab based units to invent new two-phase fermentation reactor concepts.Collaborate with world-class multi-phase flow experts and leading international research institutions to improve gas fermentation reactor design.Participate in the execution of gas fermentation basics at LanzaTech laboratory, pilot plants, demonstration plants and future commercial plants.Guide the troubleshooting at those plants as required, particularly on issues related to hydrodynamic stability and mass transfer control.Capture and document new IPs.Advise in-house patent attorney on technical matters.Lead the composition of technical documents for government funding applications.
