This lab in the Cell, Developmental, and Regenerative Biology department works with Drosophila melanogaster. Responsibilities include ordering items, answering phone calls, keeping inventory, and disposing of hazardous lab waste. As well as coordinating Drosophila melanogaster food distribution and acting as a liaison with microscope/technical repairs. While also propagating lab fly cultures with mutations, and preparing Buffer solutions, growth medium, solvents and other solutions. Currently conducting a genetic Drosophila melanogaster screen in molecular and cell biology from cloning, cell culture to microscopy. To address aspects of cell signaling and cellular polarity.

• Identified Gut Microbiome as a possible influence to the development and progression of Alzheimer's Disease. • Conducted a comprehensive literature search in a public database with an extensive screening process using a standard data extraction sheet and the Newcastle-Ottawa quality assessment scale.

• Utilized epidemiological approaches to track risk factors associated with COVID-19 prevalence in New York City to design appropriate interventions and preventative measures.• Conducted statistical analysis in R programming to analyze possible associated risk factors in different socio-demographic groups.

• Investigated Amoeba’s Prevalence in relation to Associated Risk Factors in individuals in Butajira, Ethiopia to curb the spread of the infection. • Statistical analysis with SPSS revealed the relationship of the characteristics of those participating in the study such as occupation, age group, living conditions, and habits influence those infected with the amoeba. However, we are unable to determine sex as a significant risk factor.

• Investigated the effect of disturbed areas in Hamilton, NY of Amynthas agrestis’ & Metaphire hilgendorfi’s worm density. • Microsoft Excel ANOVA Single Factor test outline a higher worm density at the disturbed sites. Invasive species are inclined to be successful and invade areas that are highly disturbed which leads to higher densities of the species in those areas.• These worms spread and take out several species that depend on the soil this leads to less biodiversity.
