I led a team of more than fifty members and tried to enhance their skills in the shape of News Anchoring, Road Shows, News Correspondence, Video Editing, Videography, Graphic Designing, Management skills, Publicity and Event Planner. Under my era, we had covered almost every event of UET including Convocation, Career Fair, International Conference of Energy Conservation and Efficiency, Centennial Technovation, Auto-Fest, Techo-Mine, UET Alumni Gala, UET-MUN 5 and 100 years celebration of UET.

I did it very well and got even appreciation as a Reporter of the Month. During this time, we as a team organized different events including International Conference of Energy and Conservation, UET’s GOT Talent, Sufi Night and ECAT and admission help desk.

I became Director Media and Outreach in my last year of university. My job was to post all the graphics, images or any news on social media platform of SoME. Also, it was my job to teach my team about video editing, YouTube, Facebook and public relations because as a director, I am responsible about the publicity of any event of SoME. We as a team organized many events and series of seminars including Mining Sports Gala 1.0, Techo-Mine 2.0, Mining Alumni 65 Session, Mining Quiz, IELTS Mock Test, PIEAS Mock Test and 3-Minutes Thesis and Seminars on IELTS Test, PIEAS Test, Foreign Scholarships, Anti Abuse, Anti Bullying, and Anti-Drugs etc. Apart from this, we also launched our event named Mining Times, in which we post an important news about mining weekly.

In Coal Mine, my supervisor was Engr. Khurshid, Mining Engineer of Geo-Mineral Associates. He was graduated from University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar. He taught me about the importance of coal and operations of coal mining. I observed the geology in the shape of Skaser and Namal Limestone. Also, observed the ventilation system, blasting technique, hauling technique, rail track, magazine and mining method. I visited three mines. Two of them were inclined having a grade of 30 degree, with a distance of 1200 ft and one mine was vertically and we used a shaft to reach the our destination where coal mining was being processed. The quality of coal was Sub-bituminous.

Kallar Kahar Pakistan

During this internship, I have learned a lot under the supervision of Engr. Mujeeb ur Rehman, Mine Manager of Bestway Cement Factory. He was graduated from University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar. I observed the geology of the specific area, working of Limestone Quarry, Crusher, Dumpers, Loaders, Shovels, Dozers, Gamma Analyzer and Conveyor Belts. He taught me about the lease of quarries, survey technique and blasting design of the cement factory. I visited the magazine (A specially designed place used to store explosives or material related to blasting on the surface of ground) thoroughly and the maintenance site of mining vehicles. In this factory, they excavated the limestone and marl.

I joined Society of Mining Engineers as a general member in my first year of UET. After a year, I became a Head of Media and Outreach of Society of Mining Engineers. We organized many events like Orientation Ceremony, Mining Cricket League 2.0, Mining Alumni 3.0, Plantation Drive 1.0, Cleanup Campaign, and Survey Ceremony, Seminars on Self Grooming, Video Editing, Graphic Designing, and Time Management etc.
