During my time at Girls Who Code as a Teacher's Assistant, I had the pleasure of helping introdue coding to over 120 high school girls through teaching them HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I worked alongside the main instructure to organize and create class lessons that were accessible and engaging. Our classrooms were directly supported by professionals from big-name companies that are in partnership with Girls Who Code: JP Morgan Chase and Ford. I had the pleasure of working directly with these professionals to organize firm-wide events for our students. Our overall mission is to provide exposure to STEM and coding to girls, and give them the tools, resources, and network to help them envision themselves professionaly pursuing a career in the STEM field.
