To carry out routine analytical and physical test measurements on all cement products and raw materials in compliance with standard operating procedures.Analyses for %CaO in Mill discharge and kiln feed samples using wet method Analyses for %FCaO in clinker and Cement product samples (milled and packed products).Performs Iimestone screen analysis on shift basis.Determines Specific Surface Area in milled cement samples during shift run.Determines setting time in milled and packed cement samples.Carries out fineness tests on Mill discharge samples, coal and cement samples bi-hourly.Carries out moisture content tests on all external raw, materials raw meal and in process coal samples on shift basis.Carries out Ash content in coal samples.Carries out Litre weight determination on clinker bi-hourly.Confirms the accuracy of analytical results by use of control standards.Logs in analysis results in routine analysis sheet and ensures that the results are reported to the technician timeosly.Ensures that all test results obtained are accurate before reporting to the technician.Alerts the shift technician on non-conforming results obtained on analysed samples.Assists in generating non-conformance to truant sections and recommends to the technician on appropriate remedial action.Performs housekeeping in accordance with health and safety regulations and good laboratory practice.Deputizes the shift technician during shift run and acts in his absence.Assists in the training of new laboratory staff during probation.
