Citizens School LLC is a newly opened school in Dubai having state of the art facilities for education, wellness, and sports. The school is built on an area of 43000m2 with innovative architecture, FIFA approved football pitches and a bespoke British curriculum. I have joined as one of the earliest team members and I’m actively involved in accounting, reporting, and software implementation in various departments of the school.Key Responsibilities:• Preparation and analysis of financial statements.• Maintaining and reconciling general ledgers.• Debtors / Creditors and Bank reconciliations.• Preparation of revenue projections and forecasting expenses.• Preparation of VAT returns.• Correspondence with the debtors and creditors to resolve any issues.• Contributing to the implementation of a new ERP system specially designed for the educational institutes.• Ad-hoc reporting to the Finance Director as required.• Apart from the key responsibilities, I am also working on designing standard operating procedures and internal controls for all the departments.

Circle Clothing is a project of Global Exports (an apparel exporter) also owned by the same Director as Indigo Rent A Car DMCC, established in Houston, USA, in 2020. The company has achieved rapid success in the US market and is providing premium quality blanks to wholesale and retail clothing brands across United States. I have performed my duties from an offshore office, as Manager Internal Audit as well as leading implementation of the newly acquired oracle-based ERP ‘Netsuite’.Key Responsibilities:• Risk based internal audit plans to minimize exposures and maximizing the efficiency of all the functions.• Compliance with regulations, company principles and guidelines.• Month end closings and review of financial statements and operational reports.• Verification of monthly bank reconciliations.• Reconciliation of sales invoices with debtors’ account statements and verification of inventory valuations.• Co-ordination with tax firm to submit quarterly sales tax returns and yearly corporate tax filling.• Verify costing to be properly incorporated in product data sheet.• Evaluate the overall level of adequacy of the internal controls.

Indigo Rent a Car DMCC is a well-known car leasing company having offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah at multiple locations. I started as an Internal Auditor to build a team of professionals and established an offshore office in Karachi, Pakistan to perform internal audit functions.Key Responsibilities:• Preparation and implementation of internal audit plan.• Business processes risk assessment and gaps identification to develop internal controls to mitigate exposures andmaximize efficiency and effectiveness.• Review of documents relating to lease agreements, vehicles registration, and insurance.• Review of cash and bank reports on daily basis.• Review of Debtors’ reconciliation including age analysis.• Review of monthly sales report and sales refunds.• Review of VAT Reports and recalculation of input and output VAT.• Preparation and monitoring of monthly purchases budget and vehicle maintenance reports.• Communication of audit findings relating to various units to the director on weekly basis.
