As a Research and Development Officer, I played a key role in enhancing agricultural productivity by providing scientific assessments and practical recommendations to farmers. My responsibilities included:- Conducting field assessments before and during the crop growth period (primarily rice, wheat, vegetables, and occasionally fruit plants) to evaluate plant health, identify potential threats, and recommend tailored solutions. - Offering nutrient management recommendations, suggesting the proper nutrient solutions and application methods based on growth stages and field conditions.- Diagnosing plant diseases and pests, recommending appropriate remedies and insecticides to mitigate threats to crops.- Assessing nutrient deficiencies in crops and advising on the nutrients needed at different life cycle stages to optimize growth and yield.- Collaborating with farmers to promote good agricultural practices aimed at enhancing crop productivity, while also ensuring the effective use of the company’s insecticides, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and farming machinery.This role allowed me to apply research-based knowledge to real-world farming challenges, improving crop outcomes and supporting sustainable agricultural practices.
