Cash Department: Handling the bank implemented system within the branch to manage receipts, payment, issuance of pay orders and account transfers. And to ensure that;-Cash is being maintained as per latest SBP instructions.-Adherence to all regulatory guidelines regarding proper identification and documentation when dealing with various kind of transactions.Customer Services:-Handling of customer requests in a timely manner; looks for ways to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround time.-Ensure seamless services to Home Remittance clients.Accounts & Administration:-Maintenance of staff leave record.-To prepare expenses voucher ensuring proper allocation of subhead for each category and to obtain approvals as per delegation of authority.-To check and authorize issuance/activation of cheque books and balancing of same at the end of day.-To observe and obtain Insurance coverage of excess cash retained overnight.-Update and reconcile branch fixed assets.-To supervise and train new recruits-Issuance of lockers and operation thereof.-Handling of Stop Payments, Dormant Accounts, Standing Instructions. -Review daily customer transactions for compliance as per SBP instructions. And to update KYC of respective customer accordingly.Further to Ensure,-The branch is up on time.-Proper maintenance of log books (Pool bike & Generator).-Key deposits and recovery of locker rent up to date, as per SOP. In case of low balance proper correspondence with customer regarding renewal charges.Reconciliation:To ensure,-Transactions and reporting of activity is accurate and complete.-Reconcile all cash transaction at the end of the day.-Ensure verification of all transactions and completeness of source documents and related supporting documents.-Coordination with internal and external auditors to monitor and balance all financial records.ATM: To ensure,-balancing & replenishment on daily basis-Dealing with Captured Cards-Settlement of Claims.

-Cash receipts and cheque payments at counter and to ensure that proper supporting documents has been obtained; Verification and reconciliation of instruments at the end of the day.-Vault management-To maintain Main Collection Account for utility bills, reconcile amounts of funds transferred by branches and further delivery of funds to relevant revenue office respectively.-To process Account Opening Forms including falling-out, documentation and scanning for prospective clients by obtaining credentials required for each category of account. Further to coordinate with HO for resolution of discrepancies found if any.-Receiving of clearing cheques, posting and processing after proper scrutiny, realization of funds after receiving returns from NIFT and intimating clients for returned cheques and follow-up until delivered to respective client.

I served in Standard Chartered Bank for almost 9 months and the assignments and duties remained almost same which were being performed in Union Bank Ltd.

Customer Services: Counter services including Cash Payments & Receipts. - To maintain TAT's for processing of various customer transactions. - To implement service quality standards prescribed by Service Quality Department. - Processing of POS(Point of Sale) transactions. Remittance: Receiving and scrutinizing of clearing cheques including: - Local Clearing - Intercity - OBC for onward submission to centralized clearing department ATM: - Daily balancing of ATM cash - Replenishment - Delivery of Captured card Reconciliation: -To generate user transaction reports at the end of a day and to verify the same with supporting vouchers. -Keeping in a view of audit observations; scrutinizing and verification of all vouchers processed during the day. -To rectify previous day's observations/exceptions of users reported by CPU/ICU. Foreign Currency: Custodian of foreign currency in main branch, responsible for: -Management of foreign currency cash at branch level. -Organize and arrangement of FCY requirement of branches. -Foreign currency encashment. -Preparation of ITRS Reporting for onward submission to SBP. -Issuance and correspondence of Foreign Currency Demand Drafts.
