As a volunteer on this research project, I contributed to efforts aimed at assisting the Government of Bangladesh in enhancing tobacco control measures. My responsibilities included advocating for the increase of pictorial warning sizes to 90 percent on tobacco product packets, supporting the implementation of standard packaging, and working towards the banning of emerging tobacco products. I collaborated with public health experts, policymakers, and other stakeholders to promote effective tobacco control policies and protect public health.

As a Research Assistant on this project, I am involved in conducting a comprehensive gap analysis of the Current Road Transport Act, 2018. My responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data, identifying key areas where the legislation falls short, and providing evidence-based recommendations for improvements. I collaborate with legal experts, policymakers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our findings contribute to the development of more effective and equitable road transport policies in Bangladesh.

As a co-investigator on this research project, I am responsible for examining the tax evasion strategies employed by smokeless tobacco industries in Bangladesh. My role involves conducting in-depth analyses, gathering and interpreting data, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to uncover insights that can inform policy recommendations and regulatory measures. This project aims to address public health concerns and contribute to the development of effective tax policies to curb illegal practices within the tobacco industry.
