MercadoMaritimo.com.br (translation: Maritime Industry) is a news platform for shipping industry professionals. It aggregates content from hundreds of news sources: local and international newspapers, specialised local and international publications and companies IR press releases.Our algorithms constantly scan these news sources and the content is analysed, categorised and relevant content is published on all our channels - web app, mobile app for Android and iOS, LinkedIn, and Facebook pages.The platform also features a publishing system that allows guest writers to add content and have it distributed to our audience.The platform has the following features:- A web app- Mobile apps for Android and iOS- Daily clipping via e-mail- push notifications to send important news and updates- Automatic publication on LinkedIn and Facebook using their APIs- Publishing platform for third party writers- Administration dashboard to manage and publish content, notifications, news sources and more.I used the following technologies to build the platform:- React on the front-end- React Native for the mobile apps- Serverless architecture using NodeJS for back-end functions- Firebase NoSQL database- Firebase / Google Cloud Functions for the back-end functions- Google Cloud Scheduler for scheduling tasks- Buffer API to publish on social media- Mailgun API for sending e-mailsThe platform can be accessed on: www.mercadomaritimo.com.br

Founder and developer of VagasEmbarcado.com, a recruitment platform for the maritime industry.VagasEmbarcado is a complete Application Tracking System and job board for the shipping industry in Brazil.The software has several features, including:Recruiter interface- Resumes database- Manage job postings- Auto share to LinkedIn pages and profiles connected to the recruitment team- Manage candidates- Manage the interview process- Request and store candidates documents and certificatesEnd user interface- User fills out a profile and insert all certificates and credentials- Job board browsing - Automatic filtering of matching openings- Easy apply for a job - if job was not opened using the recruiter portal, all documents and certificates are sent to the recruiter, including a PDF version of the resume stored in the database. - System keeps track of certificates expiration datesI built the system from the ground up as a side project while I was in maritime school and was responsible for every aspect of it. At its height, the portal had more than 30K registered users and has attracted almost 100K followers on social media.The platform was built using PHP and MySQL for the backend and HTML/CSS/jQueey with Bootstrap for the front end.
