• Preparation of detailed network design(HLD & LLD) of Ciena 6500 and Ciena 6110, deployed in the projects.• Preparation of FAT & SAT documents and following up with the customer until approval.• Performing Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests of Ciena OneControl NMS, Ciena 6500 & Ciena 6110.• Supervised and monitored the installation and Commissioning of these nodes at various sites across KOC Kuwait. • Installation of Ciena OneControl NMS on linux Server Platform.• Creating detailed CISCO DWDM Network Design using CISCO Transport Planner. • Installation, node setup and commissioning of Cisco NCS2015 and NCS2006 DWDM nodes.• Creating Photonic Services (OCHNC and OCHCC) across DWDM nodes and handing them to MPLS team to carry end customer traffic.• Site acceptance Test of Cisco NCS2015 and NCS2006 nodes.

Kuwait City

• Installation & Commissioning of DWDM nodes.• Site acceptance tests and Traffic migration on the newly commissioned links.• Responsible for overall network engineering and on-going network maintenance.• Survey the new site location and planning according to the DGCA requirements.• Planning of optical fiber links, UTP cable links & Multi Pair cable for KADIN.• Supervise and monitor the laying & routing of cables according to the approved drawings with DGCA.• Monitoring the installation of Racks/Cabinets for the termination of Optical fibers, UTP cables & Multi Pair cable in the Patch panels.• Testing of the laid Optical fiber cables using OTDRs, Cable Certifier and Laser-Source meter.• Preparation and submission of test reports. • Coordination with other vendors (Indra, Selex, and Telvent) for the smooth implementation of the project.• Splicing of optical fiber cables.• Testing of Optical & UTP links using OTDR & Ethernet tester respectively.• Regular meeting with DGCA officials for the project updates.

New Delhi

Network Engineering• Creating and commissioning the network map on the said system by creating the domain, maps on EMS and NMS.• Provisioning work order and interacting with Network Engineering Department; involved in bandwidth planning & traffic management for timely updates.Testing• Acceptance test of newly installed DWDM,SDH sites for various testing parameters like Installation Quality standards, Optical Powers, Optical receiver sensitivity, Jitter-wander, OSNR measurements, Central frequency deviation. • Acceptance test of newly commissioned DWDM links for parameter like 24-Hour BER test and stability.• Network Acceptance test for parameters like switching test, BER test. • Testing the laid fiber links(ISP & OSP) and submitting the reports.Project Execution • Monitoring the installation & commissioning at various sites and coordinating with Field Engineers & technicians for obtaining site status reports for updates on project progress.• Handling the transmission network design, involved in link budgeting for transmission links, conducting transmission surveys and providing TAC level support.• Assigning the day to day activities to the field engineers and technicians for the smooth and timely execution of the project.• Regular meetings with customer on project updates. Operations & Maintenance• Looking after troubleshooting of installed SDH/DWDM nodes and providing onsite-offsite support for early fault resolution.• Proactively identifying areas of obstruction / breakdowns and taking steps to rectify the equipments through application of troubleshooting tools.
