Dynamatic-Oldland Aerospace®, a division of Dynamatic Ltd UK, is a unique state-of-the-art Aeronautical manufacturing facility possessing complex 5 axis machining capabilities for the manufacture of Aerospace components and tooling.Objective: I was promoted to this newly created role to manage the day to day manufacturing and operations of our Swindon site to increase revenue. The site comprises of state of the art CNC machines from DMG Mori and Hermle along with automation and FMS robot systems from Fastems and Erowa. • Oversee a team of 30+ staff across 2 shifts, responsible for manufacturing of parts and OTD• Promote continuous improvement activities through Lean tools • Working with senior management to achieve strategic objectives and KPIs• Ensure site is Quality (AS9100) and Health & Safety (ISO 14001) compliant• Facilitated data driven resolution, scrap reduction, containment of issues through root cause analysis• Led teams responsible for transfer of work from customers and between internal sites• Identify gaps in skill and develop training plans for all employees• Plan for staff, capacity, tools to prepare business for volume increases• Engage with an international supply chain (India, Germany, Belgium, UK)Performance:• Achieved site revenue in excess of £3M increasing to in excess of £6M by Q4 2021 • Increased revenue for site in excess of £500k, through management of new offload work packages• Reduced the number of failing projects from 4 to 0, overall delivery performance 100%• Reduced number of Quality non-conformances to 0, Health & Safety – reduced by 50% (2019)• Assisted in getting site accredited to 2 new customer quality approvals for special processes
