SustainableSG provides advisory, training and writing services to help organizations develop, implement, improve and report on corporate sustainability. Engagements include:- Assisting a mobility business to develop their sustainability strategy. - Working with a Singapore company that manufactures plastic bags to develop a circular economy business model.- Providing an external assessment of a regional e-services company's environmental strategy.- Working with a trade association to roll out an industry-supported Sustainability Programme and prepare a solar adoption report.- Benchmarking of sustainability practices for a property developer.- Training and consulting on carbon management for corporate clients.- Lecturing on sustainable development, sustainability leadership, implementing ESG, carbon management and reporting, circularity and green entrepreneurship.- Conceptualizing and writing sustainability reports for publicly listed companies and other entities.

Core responsibilities include corporate strategy, sustainability, performance monitoring, data analytics and enterprise risk management.

Volunteer on the Board of JAG Foundation, a Singapore-registered charity that promotes life-skills to youth through golf.

RUSS-NET was a start-up that developed www.sportshook.com, a sports social networking site. My co-founder and I were responsible for developing the business plan, raising seed funding, recruiting the tech team, getting the office space and approaching prospective partners. We shut it down eventually as the platform did not meet our expectations and both of us moved on to other opportunities. All said, it was a good experience and if the opportunity arises in the future, I would do it again!

Reviewed and implemented national sports development policies and projects, including the Sports Hub project, Singapore’s bid to host the 2010 Youth Olympic Games, Sporting Culture Committee review, interfacing with international sports organisations (like the International Olympic Committee), Singapore’s accession to the World Anti-Doping Code, provision of sporting facilities to the public, management of the Sporting Singapore Fund, launching the Learn-To-Swim programme in primary schools, and oversight of the Singapore Sports School.

Investment promotion of Singapore as a regional business hub. Initiated contact with international companies, developed appropriate value propositions (that include government incentives and facilitation), and negotiated investment milestones. Planned and executed the ‘Global Schoolhouse’ strategy for developing the education services industry.

Initiated contact with prospective clients, conducted presentations on Inchone’s eLearning capabilities, packaged appropriate solutions to meet clients’ needs, negotiated the contractual terms, and closed deals. Managed project implementation, coordinated between client’s representatives and Inchone’s team, tracked the project schedule, and built ongoing business relationships.

Developed the business continuity plans across the organization’s global network of offices. Reviewed corporate performance benchmarks and governance norms, and developed a knowledge management and eLearning framework.

Rotated through various functional postings. Assigned full-time for 12 weeks to work with McKinsey consultants in reviewing SIA's organizational development policies. Coordinated with the airline's network of overseas stations to manage the waitlist system to minimise seat wastage and handled passenger complaints pertaining to reservations procedures. Enhanced the reservations systems' business logic to maximise revenue and managed a restructuring exercise.
