• Manage the strategic direction for the enhancement of supervised areas. Includes preparing/overseeing annual budget, establishing and evaluating program goals/objectives, and hiring and supervising staff and graduate assistants.• Serve on management team, reporting to the Executive Associate Dean, to engage in discussions and partnerships to align supervised areas with overall school initiatives/goals resulting in enhanced collaborative efforts between graduate programs in international affairs and public administration. Supervise Assistant Director of Career Service as described in previous position.• Assess and evaluate student services programs to report accurate statistical information on recruiting/admission goals, student internships/employment, and alumni engagement.• Oversee the overall recruiting and admissions process for graduate programs to include supervising the Director of Admissions & Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator.• Oversee and implement all career services, new student orientation, student organization advising, graduation planning, and alumni affairs.• Prior to college reorganization, managed all diversity and inclusion activities in the college, including faculty, staff, and student training and university-level reporting of diversity initiatives. Served on the Texas A&M University Diversity Operations Committee and worked across the college to enhance climate within the college and at the university.

Teach graduate courses in the Educational Human Resource Development program on career development, strategic planning, organizational change, and introductory research to Master's degree and doctoral students.

• Provide strategic planning for all student services in a growing graduate school (50% increase over 5 years). Resulted in centralized coordination of services to better meet the needs of students and facilitate improved communication amongst faculty, staff and students.• Supervise Assistant Director of Career Services to enhance number of employers of choice, including federal agencies, international development organizations, state/local agencies and non-profit organizations recruiting students resulting in 10% annual increase in number of opportunities for students. • Manage the Bush School alumni program resulting in increased contact with graduates by 50%.• Develop, implement and assess, in conjunction with faculty and administration and Texas A&M University departments, experiential learning opportunities for Bush School students, including networking trips to Washington, DC and Austin, TX.

• Manage career services for the Master of International Affairs and Master of Public Service and Administration degree programs. Included assisting first and second year students identify and secure internship, fellowship, and full-time employment in local, state, regional, and national government; international economics; national security; and non-profit organizations.• Performed job development duties to increase number of organizations seeking Bush School students for internship and full-time employment. Resulted in increase of job and internship listings by 25%.• Conducted workshops for students on a number of career-related topics.

• Advised engineering students regarding alternating Cooperative Education (Co-op) program and Internship opportunities and assist with all career-related questions.• Monitored students while on Co-op work term by maintaining regular communication and conducting site visits to select company locations. Followed-up with students once they returned to campus.• Assisted employers with resolving student concerns and/or issues. Employer site visits also ensured that the employer’s Co-op experience is mutually beneficial.• Participated in development of Career Center’s integrated on-line system for students and employers offering full-time, co-op, and internship opportunities.• Collaborated with faculty members across campus on career-related classroom presentations and marketed other career services to academic departments.
