I specialize in providing geomatics support for exploration initiatives in the Gulf of Mexico. My efforts were recognized in 2023 with Shell’s Global Service Recognition Award for outstanding delivery, significantly contributing to the success of Lease Sale 261. I have led several notable projects, including the integration of FME and Python to automate various geospatial data processes, saving hundreds of hours and generating substantial value for the business. Automation has been pivotal in enhancing mapping and workflows. My role extends to supporting a broad spectrum of exploration projects, encompassing play and prospects evaluation, Play-based exploration, regulatory mapping, well delivery support, seismic quality, and geospatial data management, in addition to facilitating Lease Sales and other commercial transactions in the Gulf of Mexico. Additional responsibilities include publishing new services and managing existing ones on ArcGIS Online, creating web maps and applications for different business lines, serving over 100 technical and managerial users.

Spearheading the Sinjar Academy’s initiative to build an advanced high-tech educational center in Sinjar & an online education platform to build skills needed for today’s economy. Sinjar suffered a genocide in 2014 & has unemployment of nearly 75 percent. This initiative intends to help community recover & rebuild.

Working at Shell as Senior GIS Specialist to support Oil & Gas exploration in the Gulf of Mexico.

- Automated two workflows for rasters processing and migration of ArcMap projects to ArcGIS Pro using python, arcpy, jupyter notebook. - Enhanced benthic and other environmental-related mapping and database management for offshore wind farms.- Co-created a new folder structure for GIS projects. - Published services and created web maps and web apps within the ArcGIS Enterprise system.

Co-founded Yazda and worked as the Executive Director. Yazda is a multi-national NGO founded to Ij support victims of genocide and persecution. Yazda has registered branches in the U.S., Iraq, Sweden, the U.K., and Germany.Yazda's work includes supporting victims of genocide, persecution, and human trafficking, advocacy to support an accountability case against perpetrators of genocide, documentation of atrocities committed in Iraq since the Yazidi Genocide of 2014 occurred, educational progarms targeting refugees in the IDP camps, humanitarian aid, development, health and medical services, and psychosocial treatment. Yazda has over 100 staff members and 300 volunteers.The last year of work with YAZDA was volunteering.

Managed one Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) offshore survey project in the Gulf of Mexico from start to end.

Supported research activities in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Houston with data management, mapping, and general GIS-related tasks. I was involved with the Caribbean Basins, Tectonics, and Hydrocarbon Consortium to conduct a regional study on the Jurassic evolution history of the east and central Gulf of Mexico (GOM).
