Amara Raja Group is a Rs 2600 Crore Group, and is one of India's top two companies in the VRLA battery industry, manufacturing Industrial and Automotive batteries, Industrial Power control systems, Metal and plastic formations, fasteners, consumer electronic items and processed fruit extractions and beverages.In the said position, o Responsible for oversight of Accounting, Secretarial, Compliance, Internal Control and finance functions of the seven companies in the Group, with their respective finance heads and company Secretaries reporting to me.o Coordinated and oversaw the finalisation of interim and annual financial statements, and presentation of the same to the respective Boards of Directors in various companies in the Group during this period.o Interacted with bankers for enhancements and renewals of working capital limitso Initiated the process of restructuring and rehabilitation of one of the companies in the Group, through a merger proposal with another company in the groupo Closely monitored and initiated steps for receivables management in some of the companies in the Group.o Involved in the Budget making process for the Group companieso Oversaw the finalisation of the Tax audits and tax compliances for all the companies in the Group.o Acted as the convenor of the GROWTH COMMITTEE, the policy making and strategy defining body of the Group, comprising the senior most executives of the Group.o Involved in the strategy formulation for the Group companieso Initiated the documentation of internal controls and preparation of internal control manualso Initiated steps for internal monitoring and reporting of compliance requirements for better governance and Board reporting requirements.o Ensured a no qualification regime in the Statutory Audit reports, by addressing all relevant issues within the regulatory framework to the complete satisfaction of the auditors.

o Advised and assisted in the formation of a large number of corporate, non-corporate and not-for profit entities, designing and setting up of their accounting and Information reporting processes, setting up and monitoring compliance processes, and in developing and improving those processes commensurate with the growth patterns of such entities. o Extensive experience in  audits- statutory, internal, and special purpose corporate advisory services including secretarial, company law, Accounting Standards implementation, Corporate Governance- practices implementation, monitoring and reporting  Direct taxation of corporate and non corporate businesses and other assessees Conceptualization, setting up and monitoring of accounting and financial control processes, practices and systems Critical and in depth analysis of financial statements and reports Due diligence verification of financial and legal information and documents Enterprise valuation Negotiation and finalization of joint venture agreements and related documents like Shareholder agreements and share purchase agreements Interaction on various professional and business related subjects with corporate managements at all levels  Set up, implemented and monitored for twenty two years, computerized accounting services outsourced by the State Electricity Board, handling the accounts of over one hundred thousand customers every month, accounting for details of power consumption, billing, collections, defaults, exceptional reports, financial reports, customers’ ledgers etc
