About Murat Şimşek
I had worked more than 8 years at Turkish Air Force - 1st Air Supply and Maintenance Center/Eskişehir as an engineer. My responsibilities were functional and performance testing of all Turbojet/Turbofan/Turboprop/ Turboshaft engines in Turkish Air Force inventory, disassembly/assembly of F110 turbofan engines (F16) in Turkish Air Force, installation and commissioning activities for CT7/T700 and Tyne/T56 engines test cell . Then I started at Zorlu Enerji and I have been working for 14 years at Zorlu Enerji as maintenance and engineering manager. I manage the site and depot level maintenance of aeroderivative gas turbines (especially GE LM2500 and LM6000). My responsibilities covers disassembling & assembling of LM6000 and LM2500 gas turbines for major overhaul. Troubleshooting and perform permanent solutions for operating gas turbines and also to determine and decide to perform all periodic maintenance activities including replacement of hot section modules (HPT, Stg 1&2 Nozzle Assy, Combustor) and level IV maintenances (major overhaul) for aeroderivative gas turbines and gas motors.Also continue to work for management all periodical and unplanned maintenance activities in the 860 MW Power Plant (Zorlu is also shareholder for this project) established in Israel.
