I am Murat Bayraktar, a Computer Engineering graduate at Middle East Technical University (METU/ODTÜ). My academic and professional experiences have provided me with a strong foundation in deep learning, few-shot, computer vision, CTR prediction and algorithmic trading.Research and Projects: • CTR Prediction: As the first author of a publication presented at IEEE SIU 2023, I demonstrated superior performance in CTR prediction, achieving top metrics on the Avazu dataset with our fusion methods. • Object Detection: Developed advanced few-shot object detection algorithms, achieving a significant precision score of 0.5776 AP for tank detection, surpassing the typical mAP of 0.3 for novel classes on MS-COCO. • SimTest: Led the development of an in-house R&D tool for algorithmic trading, which streamlined our development process and achieved over a 90% win rate in live trades. • MADP Protocol: Developed the Multifaceted Adaptive Data Protocol (MADP) to enhance data transfer reliability and performance over UDP, outperforming TCP in challenging environments.Professional Experience: • Blockcentury: Led the development of a new algorithmic trading tool as a Data Scientist, solving complex data challenges and ensuring timely delivery. • STM: As a Computer Vision Intern, applied my knowledge to real-world projects, contributing to advancements in the field. • Huawei: Worked on deep learning R&D, focusing on innovative solutions to complex problems. • Avion AI Team: Led the team in the Teknofest AI in Transportation Competition, achieving 11th place out of 1900 teams by developing a reliable object detection system for drone images.Academic Involvement: • Kovan Research Labs: Worked on traffic flow prediction using Graph Neural Networks, collaborating with PhD students and professors. • TUBITAK 1505 Project: Contributed to a project accepted by TUBITAK, demonstrating the high quality and potential impact of our research.I am passionate about continuously expanding my knowledge through active participation in research projects.
