I am a member of Center of Clinical Genomics (CCG) team within BC Genome Sciences Centre. The CCG aims to implement emerging technologies to provide the most cost-effective clinical testing for genetic disease.

• Designed and implemented global ancestry inference model with multi-index Bloom Filter in C++. Model is trained with 208 individuals from 1000 Human Genome Project and identified major ethnicities of all 52 test.
• Designed and implemented long-read mapper miBf-mapper, in C++. Proved that the multi-index Bloom Filter can be utilized in mapping applications. Accurately mapped reads with an accuracy competitive to the state-of-art.
• Released a major update of software LINKS which brought in 5x memory usage improvement and 3x run-time optimization. Presented the work in Genome Informatics 2021. It has been downloaded 1400+ times via Conda.
• Refactored multi-index Bloom filter code with modern C++ standards and generated unit tests to ensure reliability.
• Organized and setup the schedule of weekly lab seminars for a year. Solicited questions from audition and moderated the talk.

• Developed a construction expert provider web platform from scratch in Django in backend and React in frontend.
• Acted as middleman between owners and engineers. Created specifications and milestones for the project.
• Interviewed 20+ candidates and hired 3 developers.
• Supervised the project to reach its milestones and to become a website with 1000+ daily visitors in the first 3 months.

• Consolidated the two softwares ARCS and ARKS into one and released it as ARCS1.1.0. Since the update, software has been downloaded 9300+ times via Conda.
• Developed CI workflows in Azure with Travis for ARCS, ARKS, ntHits and ntEdit softwares.

• Research intern in the lab of Ali Güre as bioinformatic engineer to support research assistants with comprehension on bioinformatic tools.
• Tested and validated pipelines for RNAseq analysis on RNA-editing event.
• Wrote scripts in Shell and Phyton to enhance the efficiency of analysis.
