Before co-founding affect studio, Murdo gained experience working at several practices across a range of sectors with a particular focus on conservation.He completed his studies at the University of Edinburgh, where he was a key member of the Edinburgh University Student Architecture Society (EUSAS), heading up a redesign of promotional material for the weekly lecture series.He has a keen interest in sustainability and believes this is best achieved by prolonging the life of existing buildings through conscientious renovation and retro-fitting, whilst responding sensitively to existing site conditions.His photography has been featured in several major architectural, lifestyle magazines and websites, helping to promote the work of his clients.
