About Murilo Caetano Da Silva
Aeronautical Engineering undergraduate student at the School of Engineering of São Carlos (EESC-USP), and former exchange student in Aerospace Engineering at the Delft University of Technology. During my undergraduate studies, I aimed to diversify my knowledge and experiences, both in engineering and in related and different areas, in order to understand the different fields in which I could work and better qualify myself for the job market.I am a researcher at the Aeronautics Technology Laboratory (AeroTech) at EESC-USP and I develop a monolithic aeroelastic formulation in torsion and bending for plane wings using Finite Element modeling, a project that was sponsored by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) for a year.I am a former member of three EESC-USP extracurricular organizations, in which I learned both technical content in Aeronautical Engineering and soft skills necessary for effective collaborative work. I held management positions in all of them, with emphasis on my experience in organizing the Aeronautical Engineering Week, in which I was Director of Communication for the 18th edition, having exercised mainly leadership and people management.I am also a 4x scholarship holder of the Undergraduate Studies Stimuli Program (PEEG), acting as a monitor of the Flight Dynamics and Heat Transfer courses offered for Aeronautical Engineering, in which I had brief contact with teaching.I am fluent in English and have intermediate-level proficiency in German, and I am also proficient in several computational tools, such as object-oriented programming in Python (NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Pandas), MATLAB and Simulink, MSC Patran/Nastran and utilities, such as Microsoft Office.Currently, I am looking for internship opportunities in Aerospace Engineering, especially in the areas of aeroelasticity and structural engineering, in which I will be able to put my knowledge acquired during graduation to proof.Contactm.caetano@usp.br
